Born in the hazy, sun-bleached sprawl of Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley, cielo drive crafts ethereal, dreamy soundscapes rooted in the sonic textures of classic shoegaze, dream pop, noise rock and punk. The band's sound blends lush, reverb-drenched guitars, airy, melancholic vocals and crushing waves of distortion.
Since forming in 2023, the band has gained a following in LA’s underground music scene and recognition globally, remaining on the Top 30 Global Shoegaze charts since the release of their single "new love" off their first EP in August 2024.
Inspired by pioneers like my bloody valentine, Slowdive, and Cocteau Twins, cielo drive bring a modern edge to the genre while carving out a sound uniquely their own.
